Rev. Byron Wooseung Chae

Byron Chae was born in Seoul, Korea, and immigrated to Canada with his family when he was thirteen years old. While studying at McMaster University, he became a follower of Jesus through campus ministry.

Since then, God has given him a growing love for Christ with a desire to make Christ known and to see Christ worshipped among all nations. He longs to see a generation of mature disciples equipped through local churches to disciple others toward maturity and help to establish healthy, orderly, and biblical local churches.

His ministry experience includes campus missions, youth ministry, pastoral ministry, preaching and teaching, missionary training, international missions leadership, and various roles within the local church.

Byron currently serves as Fellowship International Associate Director of The Fellowship of Evangelical Baptist Churches in Canada, where he provides leadership, serves missionaries, and oversees international ministry partnerships.

He also serves as an elder at Springvale Baptist Church, participating in shepherding, prayer, leadership development, and the mission of the local church.

Before his current ministry, Byron served for more than a decade as a missionary with Power to Change, formerly known as Campus Crusade for Christ, Canada). He also served in pastoral ministry at Willowdale Baptist Church and in youth ministry at Mosaic Fellowship of Toronto Korean Presbyterian Church.
